2022 Sunshine Breakfast honors Toby Nixon, Ed Clark, Seattle Times

The March 18, 2022 event recognized the recipients of awards announced in 2021, when the breakfast was postponed until Sunshine Week (March 13-19).

Longtime WashCOG president Toby Nixon was honored with the Coalition’s lifetime achievement award, which has been known as the James Madison Award but has been renamed for Nixon.

Juli Bunting, Executive Director; and Mike Fancher, WashCOG president.

Also recognized were Ed Clark, a 10-year member of the WCOG board, with the James Andersen Award as the Coalition’s volunteer of the year. The Seattle Times won the Kenneth Bunting Award for outstanding journalism using Washington’s Public Records Act.
