Supporters: Please Give BIG in May to WashCOG

The Seattle Foundation’s annual Give BIG event, an online day of giving, is Wednesday, May 9 – but you can get a head start and give early, now.

You can already find WashCOG on the Give BIG site, which provides a single spot to donate to numerous charities and causes. Some years the giving has overloaded the site, so Give BIG is open for donations early this year.

Also, donations get some matching funds from the Foundation, so your contribution gets a little larger when you give through the Give BIG event. In past years, this has been a major source of WashCOG funding, and your support is appreciated.

Remember, you can also donate to WashCOG when you shop on Amazon. You just log onto Amazon’s online shopping mart through WashCOG’s AmazonSmile entry port. You still use your own Amazon account; but Amazon will make a donation to the Washington Coalition for Open Government when you spend money at its site.

Through the AmazonSmile program, Amazon donates 0.5 percent of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organization of your choice.
